Memories of 1951

Four young men living in two rooms in the middle of the Main Quad with two closets, four desks in the living room, and no storage. Toilets that often did not work. Power outages. Snow up to the door into Seabury. Students shoveled the snow off the Long Walk. Bottle night. Stealing trays to use as sleds from the dining hall. A foot of water in our bedroom from a leak on the third floor. A keg in the closet. Sadly, my three roommates have died. Bill Luby, Scott Price and Bill Gladwin. It happened so long ago.
